Amazing, the love that Thou hast for us
Amazing, that Thou would become one of us
Amazing, that Thou should give away Your life
That we may know of Thy love
Wonderful, the grace that Thou bestow upon us
Matchless, the mercy that falls from Thy throne
Incredible, the way that Thou draw near to us
And meet us where we are
If it were not for Thy awesome love
If it were not for Thy sacrifice
If Thou had not risen again
How lost we would be
How far from Thy face
Never escaping our sin
What manner of love
Oh, how could it be
That Thou, my God, should die for me?

the Love of God
So we come again to the close of another month, it's insane how time passes by so quickly!
The Lord blesses abundantly in so many different ways, and continues to humble me as He showers me with favor. Along with these blessings come difficulties and trials, some to be expected and some that seem to pop up out of the blue..
But I as walk this road that has been laid before me, I press on only because of the amazing grace of Jesus Christ. And as I wander through the wilderness of this place in which I am but a pilgrim, I'm reminded of the hymn....
Because He lives, I can face tomorrow,
Because He lives, all fear is gone!
Because I know He holds the future;
My life is worth the living just because He lives.
Life without the saving grace of Christ would pretty much stink. "What manner of love is this, that we should be called the children of God?"(I John 3:1)
I'm reminded of the words of another great song, yet not well known...
There's a wideness in God's mercy I cannot find in my soul;
And it keeps this fire burning to melt this heart of stone.
Keeps me aching, with a yearning
Makes me glad to have been caught in the reckless raging fury
That we call the love of God...
The most powerful force that this world will ever known, and we're caught right in the middle of it. Knowing this i find peace to face the days that follow... Because He lives. That's reason enough for me!

So I've decided to try posting on this blog more frequently than I have with any of my other ones in the past. I've had Facebook, Xanga, Myspace...
I'm partial to face-to-face communication, but in some situations that's just not possible. :)
Whisper in the Wind... hmm, might sound like a dumb name for a blog, but let me invite you to consider applying this phrase to your own life.
It's taken from James 4:14 which says, "whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow, for what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away."
Life is a vapor, my friends... and as yours is passing by, are you being a good steward of the precious time that God has given to you? If you profess to follow Christ, I'm speaking to you. Our goal in life should be to know Christ and to make Him known to the world around us, through words and actions.
Don't allow yourself to be caught in the things of this world. There's a lot here that appeals to us, mainly because of our fallen nature, but nothing that you find will ever compare to the glorious riches of abandoning your life completely to Jesus Christ.
...with every passing second you are getting closer to the end of your existence in this world.
What are you doing with the time you have left?
